Material
Colours
Colour names are the manufacturer's own: they are the ordering reference. The swatches are indicative and do not replace a physical sample. See each material in detail
Layer height
0.08 mm — 0.2 nozzle: finest, very long print
0.12 mm — 0.2 nozzle: fine, crisp detail
0.16 mm — 0.4 nozzle: neat
0.2 mm — 0.4 nozzle: standard, recommended
0.24 mm — 0.4 nozzle: faster
0.3 mm — 0.6 nozzle: fast, visible layers
0.4 mm — 0.8 nozzle: fastest, large parts
Walls
2 walls — light part, little load
3 walls — standard, recommended
4 walls — part under load
5 walls — heavy load, near-solid skin
A wall is that many beads at the nozzle's width: more walls means more material and more time, so a higher price. Walls carry a part more than infill does.
Infill
10% — light, decorative part
15% — light, hollow structure
20% — everyday use, recommended
30% — simple mechanical parts
50% — high strength
75% — nearly solid
100% — solid, maximum strength
Beyond 50%, the strength gained is marginal against the extra material and time it costs.
Supports
Automatic (recommended)
Force supports
No supports
Detected on surfaces overhanging beyond 45°. Allow roughly 15% extra material.
Support type
Breakaway support — removed by hand
Soluble PVA support — dissolved in water
