What to send

• The geometry — STL, OBJ or 3MF to print as-is; STEP if design work is needed. No file? A dimensioned drawing, a photograph with a ruler in shot, or the original part will do.
• The quantity — even approximate. It changes the unit price more than anything else.
• The constraint — temperature, outdoors, load, contact. This is what determines the material.
• The date — when you actually need the parts in hand.

Large files

Files up to 500 MB are uploaded straight from your browser to our storage — they never travel as an email attachment, and nothing expires after seven days. A 400 MB STL goes through without difficulty.

Two things worth knowing before you send one. A STEP file is usually 10 to 50 times smaller than the equivalent STL and carries the exact geometry rather than a mesh — if you have one, send that. And an STL compresses extremely well: zipping a 400 MB file typically brings it down to well under 100 MB.
