What is used, and why

Google Tag Manager, with Google Analytics, tells us which pages lead to quotation requests. That is the only purpose, and it is declared in consent mode: the container loads with every signal denied by default.

The advertising signals — ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization — remain permanently denied. They are never granted, even when you click « Accept »: no advertising campaign is planned, so there is nothing to authorise.

Identifying visiting companies

Website Leads, supplied by Visable, recognises the company behind a visit from its IP address, so we know which businesses look at our pages. It uses no cookies and never identifies an individual: sole traders are in fact excluded from the results.

As it uses no cookie, it does not fall under the consent banner. If you nonetheless wish to object, an opt-out button is available on the privacy policy. That opt-out does set a first-party marker: it is the only way to remember your refusal without identifying you.

What is not used

No advertising pixel, no tracking share buttons, no ad network, no sale or transfer of data to third parties.

Typefaces are hosted on our own domain: your IP address is not passed to any external provider when a page loads.

Your choice, and how to change it

A banner appears on your first visit. Declining takes exactly the same effort as accepting: two buttons, same row, same size, one click each. Continuing to browse does not count as agreement — the banner stays until you answer, without ever blocking your reading.

Your answer is kept for six months at most, after which the question is asked again. The Cookies link in the footer reopens the banner at any time: changing your mind costs one click, in either direction.

What is stored in your browser

Three things, on your device only: your answer to the banner, the colour theme you chose, and the history of your last ten calculations on the quotation page along with your preferred settings.

This information never leaves your machine, is accessible to no one else, and disappears if you clear the site's data in your browser. Technically these are local-storage entries rather than cookies; those serving a feature you asked for are not subject to prior consent.

Hosting logs

Our host keeps short-lived technical logs which may contain an IP address, for security and incident detection. This processing rests on legitimate interest and is not used for commercial purposes.

If this were to change

Any new purpose — advertising, remarketing, sharing with a third party — would be added to the banner as a separate choice, and this page would be updated before anything was switched on.
