PPA-CF — Carbon-fibre reinforced polyphthalamide
PPA-CF is a carbon-fibre-reinforced engineering polyamide. Manufacturer HDT values are load-test results, not a guaranteed continuous operating temperature for your part.
Use it for
- Parts under a bonnet or at an oven outlet
- Production tooling continuously exposed to heat
- Brackets that must stay stiff at high temperature
What it will not do
- Three times the price of PETG: only worth it if the load demands it
- Matt, slightly rough surface — not a cosmetic material
- Black only

What we have learned using it
A lot of enquiries come in asking for PPA-CF when PETG is more than enough. We say so: an over-specified part has never won anyone's loyalty.
