Terms and conditions of sale

1. Scope

These terms govern sales between SANSIL 3D (Sébastien Boudignon, sole trader, SIRET 940 902 281 00010) and its customers, whether businesses or consumers.

Placing an order implies unreserved acceptance of these terms. They prevail over the customer's own purchasing conditions unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Products and services

SANSIL 3D produces parts by FDM additive manufacturing, together with computer-aided design and reverse-engineering services.

Parts are made to order, from a file supplied by the customer or modelled by SANSIL 3D. They do not come from stock.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, no post-processing is carried out beyond removal of print supports. The layer lines characteristic of the process remain visible and do not constitute a defect.

UV personalisation, on a customer-supplied item or an item supplied by SANSIL 3D, is also available. The quotation distinguishes the blank item, printing, preparation and any tests.

3. Quotations and orders

Every order is preceded by a written quotation, valid for 30 days from issue. Estimates displayed on the site are indicative and do not constitute a firm offer.

The order becomes binding once SANSIL 3D receives the customer's written acceptance of the quotation. For runs above 50 pieces, production only starts after written approval of a sample.

SANSIL 3D reserves the right to refuse an order, in particular where the requested part infringes an intellectual property right, presents a safety risk, or exceeds its technical capabilities.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are stated in euros and exclude shipping, which is charged separately and shown on the quotation. The applicable VAT status is set out in the legal notice and repeated on every invoice.

The first order is payable upfront unless agreed otherwise in writing. Subsequent business orders may have written payment terms within French statutory limits: at most 60 days from the invoice date, or 45 days end of month where expressly agreed and not unfair. Public-sector payment terms are specified in the quotation.

Under articles L.441-10 and D.441-5 of the French Commercial Code, late payment between businesses automatically incurs interest at the European Central Bank rate plus 10 points, together with a fixed recovery charge of €40.

Orders paid online are payable by bank card (Visa, Mastercard) when the quotation is confirmed. The account is debited immediately upon payment confirmation: no amount is taken until the payment has succeeded. A PDF invoice is sent by e-mail as soon as the payment is confirmed.

Card payments are processed on SumUp’s secure payment page, where the applicable provider and terms are identified. SANSIL 3D does not receive your card number.

5. Manufacturing and delivery times

Production and delivery times appear in the accepted quotation. Contact us in writing if delivery is late. Consumers retain the rights under Article L.216-6 of the French Consumer Code, including requesting delivery within a reasonable additional period and then ending the contract, or ending it immediately where the law allows. Refunds and other remedies follow the applicable law.

6. Transfer of risk and title

Risk passes when the parcel is handed to the carrier for business customers, and on actual receipt by the consumer (article L.216-2 of the French Consumer Code).

SANSIL 3D retains title to the goods until the price is paid in full, under article 2367 of the French Civil Code.

7. Conformity and complaints

Please report a defect promptly to support@sansil3d.fr with the order reference and, if possible, photographs. Reporting within 14 days helps processing but does not limit statutory rights or their time limits. Consumers benefit from the French statutory conformity guarantee for two years from delivery, subject to the legal conditions.

We assess the defect against the accepted quotation, approved file and intended use communicated to us. Incorrect supplied data may require a revised quotation; no chargeable remake starts without agreement. Approval of a file does not remove our statutory conformity, information or advice obligations.

8. Statutory guarantees

Consumers benefit from the statutory guarantee of conformity (articles L.217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code), independently of any commercial warranty.

The statutory guarantee of conformity runs for two years from delivery. The consumer chooses between repair and replacement, subject to the cost conditions provided by law.

Action for hidden defects must be brought within two years of the defect being discovered.

9. Right of withdrawal — the made-to-order exception

Consumers generally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. The exception in Article L.221-28(3) of the French Consumer Code applies only to goods made to their specifications or clearly personalised. Made-to-order production alone does not exclude that right. Any applicable exception is stated before ordering and does not remove statutory guarantees.

Where the right of withdrawal applies

For a non-personalised item, notify support@sansil3d.fr within 14 days of receipt using an unambiguous statement or the form below. Return the item within 14 days of notification; you bear the direct return cost. We refund the purchase and initial standard delivery within 14 days of notification, but may wait until receipt of the item or proof of dispatch. You are only responsible for loss of value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.

10. Intellectual property in files

The customer warrants that they hold the necessary rights in the files they send, and indemnifies SANSIL 3D against any third-party claim in that respect.

SANSIL 3D refuses any order for a model under a non-commercial licence, for an object protected by a trade mark or copyright, or for a part covered by a patent in force.

Your files remain your property. They are used to assess your request and fulfil your order, and are not resold, published or reused for another customer. Following your explicit action and agreement to the transfer, they may be processed by the technical providers needed to store and handle your request, as described in the privacy policy. You can request deletion at support@sansil3d.fr; statutory retention obligations still apply. A confidentiality agreement may be requested before sending. Privacy policy

For design work, the quotation specifies deliverables, file formats and agreed use or assignment rights. No broader assignment is presumed.

11. Liability

Parts made by SANSIL 3D are not intended for safety, lifting or pressurised applications, nor for lasting food contact, save by express written agreement covering an identified material and use.

Liability is assessed under applicable law without limiting mandatory consumer rights. For a customer-supplied object to be UV printed, suitability, condition and specific risks are reviewed before agreement. A test or visual approval does not waive statutory guarantees.

12. Force majeure

Force majeure is assessed against Article 1218 of the French Civil Code. A breakdown, supply difficulty or outage is not automatically force majeure. Its effects on performance and, where applicable, termination follow the law.

13. Consumer mediation

Under article L.612-1 of the French Consumer Code, consumers may use a consumer mediator free of charge to seek an amicable settlement of a dispute, after sending a written complaint to SANSIL 3D and failing a satisfactory reply within two months.

For a cross-border dispute within the European Union, consumers may also contact the European Consumer Centre France: europe-consommateurs.eu.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by French law without depriving consumers of applicable mandatory protections. If an amicable solution fails, jurisdiction is determined by applicable law; no exclusive jurisdiction is imposed on consumers.
